Here is Tucky coming in from the field for an impromptu photo.

Tucky has been back home for the winter, healing from a pulled suspensory.  After x-rays taken by Rood and Riddle vets last fall showed no sign of tears, they said he just needed some time off.  It's been fun having our boy back with us.  He enjoys running in the fields, just being a horse.

1/2019  Tucky is currently in Lawrenceburg, IN at Oakwood Farms.  He is being started by Meg Williams and doing very well.

Dulcimer Breeze KFX at his Foal Inspection 9/8/16.  "Tucky" did very well even without his Momma present.  "Tucky" was one of two colts called back and he was runner up for Top Colt of the Day.  We were very pleased with how well he performed.

Tucky has the beautiful neck and elegance of his mother and the movement and personality of his father.  His floating trot is beautiful to watch as he plays in the field with our other foal and now with the geldings.  He has the confidence that will take him far.  
Tucky is handled daily and he stands well for us when we pick his feet, wash him and lead him.  He loves attention, neck scratches and his daily nose kisses.

ABOUT DACAPRIO 

"At the age of three and four Dacaprio won several under saddle and Materiale Championships. As a three-year-old, he won the German Hanoverian Championships over all 3 and 4 year-olds in Verden with the exceptional overall score of 8.9. 

In Verden, at the Hanoverian Championships, as a three-year-old, Dacaprio received one score of 8.5 for his canter and four scores of 9 for walk, trot, rideability and conformation.  

Also in 2001, Dacaprio was successful at the International Sire Horse Show in Zwolle, Netherlands. As a six-year-old he continued his list of success with victories and placements in dressage performance tests up to M Level as the winner of M/A-dressage tests (Intermediate level).

Great impulsion, high elasticity and enormous rideability are Dacaprio's trademarks which he passes on to his descendants. He is well known internationally as a stallion who very consistently produces an attractive, modern type of sport horse."

"Tucky's" Dam, Komtess V aka Rivita (Riverman x Flora I/Carolus) was one of Hilltop Farm’s best producers, including many Site Champion foals.  Rivita herself is an overall ‘8’ mare with the AHS.  She earned 9’s & 10’s on her jumping at her Holsteiner approvals in Germany.  She was the 1999 Reserve Grand Champion of Dressage at Devon and was a successful competitor through Third Level.
