As of 2024, HPM Capistrana OBX has had three foals sired by EH Herzensdieb. A 2020 filly, a 2021 colt, and a 2022 filly. She will be bred to Fabragas for a 2026 foal. We are excited to see this cross.
Capistrana obx is now a hanoverian premium mare!!!
Congratulations to our HPM Capistrana OBX (Capper) on her first foal, a filly by EH Herzensdieb! We like this filly so much that we bred Capper back to Herzensdieb and she is in foal for a 2021 foal. WooHoo!!
HPMC Capistrana OBX contucci/sps Komtess v (riverman)
HPMC Capistrana OBX (aka Capper) went through her Mare Inspection and Mare Performance Test in July 2018 and was top mare at the Inspection. She received scores of 9 for her head, and 8's for her neck, frame, conformation, and typiness-femininity. We decided to have Capper take her dam's (Rivita's) place in our breeding program.
HPMC Capistrana OBX, born 4/27/14, was bred by Don and Dee Kapper of Outer Banks Farms, LLC. We purchased Capper's dam, SPS Komtess V (aka Rivita) from the Kapper's when she was pregnant with a Contucci foal. We decided to name her Capistrana OBX in honor of the Kappers. We call her Capper for short. She is a full sister to Conturri HTF, Constantine HTF, and EM Caron OBX. She has a fantastic personality, just like her mother.
Capper has been tested for Warmblood Fragile Foal Syndrome (WFFS) and she tested N/N, negative.

Capper has been started under saddle. Our friend Ann is showing us how she works with babies. This is the fourth time Capper has had a rider on her back and the first time she has cantered with a rider on her back. She's doing very well. 10/5/16 |
At two years and one month, she stands at a little over 15.3 hands.

CONTUCCICapistrana's sire, Contucci, won the dressage phase of his 100-day test with a score of 147.11 and finished as a Class 1 stallion with an overall 127.60. He earned six 9’s throughout the testing for character, willingness to work, rideability, and his trot and canter. He then successfully showed in Germany, including winning a 1997 Bundeschampionat qualifier with 9.2 out of 10 possible points.

KOMTESS VCapistrana's Dam, Komtess V aka Rivita (Riverman x Flora I/Carolus) was one of Hilltop Farm’s best producers, including many Site Champion foals. Rivita herself is an overall ‘8’ mare with the AHS. She earned 9’s & 10’s on her jumping at her Holsteiner approvals in Germany. She was the 1999 Reserve Grand Champion of Dressage at Devon and was a successful competitor through Third Level.
